January 17, 2025, marked a milestone moment for the Grade 12 students of Delhi Public School Electronic City as they assembled for their highly anticipated Graduation Day ceremony, buzzing with exhilaration.
The air was filled with the sweet scent of accomplishment as the graduating students, dressed in their elegant attire, marched into the auditorium. Our revered Principal, Mrs Anupama Ramachandra, delivered a heartfelt and vibrant welcome address, infusing the event with energy and enthusiasm. She highlighted the school’s commitment to nurturing talent and offered sincere congratulations to the graduating students. The distinguished Guest of Honour, Pro-Vice Chairman, DPS Bangalore and Mysore, Dr Sri K. Rahman Khan, shared profound wisdom, inspiring the graduates to chase their dreams with passion and determination. The Chief Guest, Dr Asima Banu, the Principal of BMCRI Medical College, delivered an inspiring keynote address, emphasising the importance of resilience, adaptability, and kindness.
The audience was captivated by the school choir’s melodious harmonies and the stunning classical dance performance. The poignant exchange of the school flag with the junior leaders was a powerful symbol of tradition. The Head Boy, Ved Mahajan, stirred fond memories with a heartfelt speech. The parents, Dr D. Sophia and Mr Rajeev Nigam, shared their thoughts on the institution and their wards’ experiences. Senior Mistress, Mrs. Soumya Shaji, delivered an inspiring speech that resonated deeply with the students’ emotions. As the ceremony drew to a close, the graduates participated in the symbolic ‘Turning of the Tassel’ ritual, marking their transition from students to alumni. The audience erupted into cheers and applause as the graduates tossed their caps into the air, celebrating their accomplishments. The Head Girl, Dhanishtha Saxena, wrapped up with a heartfelt expression of gratitude to all those who contributed to their journey.
